The City’s classic candy shop may have a new look this season but the sweet treats inside are still those tried and true favorites you’ve come back for since 1968. It was in that year that young June Ward started a career that would become a way of life for the master candy maker.
Her career started in the Post Office located on the Square, where June hand-stamped the ever-popular postcards and letters guests wished to mail home to their envious friends while on vacation. That same year, the newest edition to The City was added, Brown’s Candy Factory, and good hands were needed to train in the art of candy making…the rest is history.
Brown’s Candy produces over 90,000 lbs. of goodies per year in hundreds of varieties from their top selling Peanut Brittle, hand-dipped Clusters and decadent Turtles to 20 kinds of Fudge, Toffee, Divinity and guest favorites like Chocolate Covered Strawberries dipping over 31,000 per year.
