Not Your Average Grilled Cheese

Even in its most basic form, a grilled cheese sandwich is a little slice of heaven. Warm, melty, gooey cheese nestled between two slices of buttery, golden brown bread. It’s so simple, yet so indulgent. It’s one of those comforting foods that just tastes like home.

It turns out that the humble grilled cheese is also the ideal canvas for culinary creativity. Upgrade the cheese, swap in some artisan bread and start experimenting with ingredients and before you know it you’ve created an edible masterpiece.

That is exactly what Silver Dollar City’s food experts have done. You can taste four original hand-crafted grilled cheese sandwiches that will give you a new appreciation of this classic cuisine at Foods of Wonder – A Culinary Adventure located in the Frisco Freight Barn only during the new Festival of Wonder.

Nine Cheese & Bacon - It’s 9 times the deliciousness with Muenster, parmesan, gruyere, garlic & herb jack, provolone, Havarti, port wine and more on sour dough with applewood smoked bacon.

Insane Vegetable Garden - This veggie extravaganza includes a trio of cheeses – provolone, parmesan and gruyere – on fresh tomato basil bread with red onion, mushrooms, asparagus, bell peppers, spinach and arugula and basil pesto.

Apple & Bacon - Are you a fan of the sweet & savory combination? This gourmet creation includes applewood smoked bacon, port wine and gruyere cheeses and roasted Fuji apple on fresh cinnamon raisin bread.

Chicken & Spinach – This rich and hearty creation features provolone, gruyere and parmesan with grilled chicken, creamy spinach spread, garlic butter and roasted red peppers on fresh sour dough bread.

Each and every Gourmet Grilled Cheese Sandwich is created with freshly baked bread from Silver Dollar City’s own Eva & Delilah’s Bakery and is served with fresh kettle chips.

Doesn’t the thought of all that cheesy goodness just make you melt? Hurry, though – these Gourmet Grilled Cheeses are only available during The Festival of Wonder, now through April 30!
