Christmas is less than three weeks away!
Here at Silver Dollar City and Showboat Branson Belle, we've been counting down the days to December 25 ever since we kicked off our Christmas celebrations back in November.
Now that we're almost to the holiday, we're getting more and more excited about all of the fun festivities happening here! From the lights, sights and wonder of to An Old Time Christmas® at the theme park two great Christmas shows aboard there are so many ways to celebrate the Christmas season with us here in Branson. Take a look at some of the fun we've been having and plan your visit soon! the Showboat Branson Belle, At Silver Dollar City, a member of the cast of A Dickens' Christmas Carol sings during the original musical adaptation of the classic novel. Ebenezer Scrooge, right, reviews his ledger as a citizen of Victorian London looks on. A spotlight shines on Scrooge during one of his solos. Jolly old St. Nick invites a pair of guests to share their Christmas wishes with him at Santa Claus Lane. With the help of some dancers, guardian angel Clarence reminds George Bailey to "Always Look On The Bright Side of Life" during a performance of It's A Wonderful Life. A cast member dons a costume inspired by Holland during a song about fabulous faraway places, one of more than 10 musical numbers featured in the original adaptation of the classic Christmas film. It's A Wonderful Life's chief villain, Henry F. Potter, is accompanied by some dancers during his featured song. The cast of It's A Wonderful Life sings the closing number after Clarence gets his wings. Raggedy invites two young guests on stage with her during a production of Tinker Junior's Toy Shop. Children sing along with Raggedy and Tinker Junior, a talking Christmas tree. Guests look on as one of the nine musical, lighted floats featured in Rudolph's Holly Jolly™ Christmas Light Parade makes its way past the entrance to Christmas In Midtown®. Two members of the Joyful Voices quartet smile after singing a Christmas carol on the Square. More members of Joyful Voices smile after finishing a song. The Silver Dollar Saloon gang leads the audience in a sing-along during Frontier Fa-La-La Follies. A cast member hops on the bar to sing "Christmas Is Starting Now" during the show, which has five shows a day during An Old Time Christmas®. The cast hits a high note during "We Need A Little Christmas," one of the many songs featured in the Western-style show. There's plenty of comedy, too. Here, the cast members react as one of their fellow performers pulls out a surprise prop. Performers portraying Biblical figures act out a moving scene in The Living Nativity, a dramatic portrayal of the birth of Christ. The Showboat Singers perform a medley of rockin' Christmas music during every show. The Showboat's emcee wears a festive costume to introduce one of the acts in the variety show You'll also see him perform some of his signature illusions during the cruise! Celebrating the reason for the season, the Showboat Singers perform "Go Tell It On The Mountain" toward the end of the show. A trio of young guests pose for a photo with a gingerbread man prior to the start of one of Santa's Pancakes & Pjs Cruises aboard the Showboat Branson Belle. Santa and his helpers take over the boat every Saturday and Sunday morning through December 23, and guests can participate in a variety of fun activities like decorating Christmas cookies. The cruises are filled with fun surprises, like live entertainment that includes special guests from Branson's Promised Land Zoo. Two of Santa's elves perform a humorous take on the classic Christmas tale "'Twas The Night Before Christmas." A young guest takes a break from the action to pose for a photo with a Sugar Plum Fairy. Two cast members dance during one of the many musical numbers in the live stage show. Santa's Pancakes & Pjs Cruises and the Showboat Branson Belle's new variety show continue select days through December 23, while An Old Time Christmas® runs select days through December 30.
